The Skull Base Foundation is a collaboration between the Manchester Skull Base Unit, Frances Barbara Thornley Trust and the Geoffrey Jefferson Brain Research Centre. It aims to support development in the care of patients with skull base disease through education, and clinical and basic science research.

Natalie Kate Moss Trust

The Natalie Kate Moss Trust (NKMT) is a Manchester-based charity dedicated to preventing brain haemorrhages and funding life-saving research into their treatment.

Founded in 2012 after the sudden death of Natalie Moss at age 26, the Trust partners with The University of Manchester to support brain haemorrhage research at the Geoffrey Jefferson Brain Research Centre. Its mission is to raise awareness of lifestyle-related risk factors, particularly high blood pressure, and to fund innovative treatments that improve survival and recovery outcomes for haemorrhagic stroke patients.

NF2 Biosolutions logo

NF2 BioSolutions is a global non-profit organisation dedicated to finding a cure for neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2), a rare genetic disorder that causes tumours to grow throughout the nervous system.

Founded by families affected by NF2, the charity supports research into gene therapy, immunotherapy, and cell-based treatments. Through strategic partnerships with institutions such as the Geoffrey Jefferson Brain Research Centre, NF2 BioSolutions funds PhD students, supports translational research, and champions public engagement to raise awareness and accelerate therapeutic breakthroughs.
