Natalie Kate Moss Trust

We work closely with the Natalie Kate Moss Trust (NKMT), which has provided over £400,000 in critical funding. This support has enabled two early career researchers to investigate new treatments for haemorrhagic stroke.

What we’re doing

Brain haemorrhages are the most fatal type of stroke, often leading to severe disability even if the patient survives.

In partnership with NKMT, we are dedicated to changing these outcomes. Our collaboration has increased focus on this research area, boosted the number of researchers, and established a centre of excellence for brain research.

This work is starting to yield real results, with new treatments now being tested more widely in the NHS. Local evidence in Manchester shows these treatments can reduce mortality by 10% one month after a brain haemorrhage.

NKMT panel discussion

Watch a panel discussion, hosted by Slater and Gordon Lawyers, featuring Fiona Moss, Director of the NKMT, alongside experts from our Stroke and Dementia theme. They share their expertise on the latest advancements in neurological research, innovative imaging techniques, and the challenges of treating intracerebral haemorrhage. Learn about the critical role of blood pressure management in brain health, the importance of prevention and the value of collaboration in improving patient outcomes.
